Welcome to my future teacher’s webpage. I have created this website for an overview of my classroom management system. This site will be used as the backbone for management in my future classroom. I plan to give this link to my students/parents for their own personal knowledge about how I will run the class. I hope you enjoy!
Target School
My target school is a suburban high school with medium structure. I feel that my background and personality are best fit for this type of setting. This preference would ultimately result in the best possible learning environment for my students.
About Me
I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2012. There, I received my degree in Secondary Education Social Science with a GPA of (determined after I graduate). While studying at UAB, I also played on the baseball team. My experiences at UAB have provided me with a great opportunity to work with young people and educate them in the subject of Social Science. Along with this, I have also coached numerous high school students in baseball. I have learned to properly manage a group of young adults through this experience. Some of the similar aspects of coaching that will be used in my classroom are RESPECT, CONSISTENCY, and PROPER discipline. This approach has helped me to lead successful teams and eventually, classrooms. I look forward to the upcoming year and the excitements that come with learning!
Philosophy of Education
Colin Powell once stated, “Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence.”* I believe that being a successful teacher can be measured with this statement. Learning from failure and consistently working and trying to prepare students for educational achievement are the keys to being a great teacher. Along with this, showing respect for students and their individual learning styles can provide for an engaging and effective learning environment.
